Paul Rogers

I joined Vospers twenty years ago after gaining a degree in Management Science from Swansea University and working for Brunel Ford for two years. Since then I have progressed within the business through the roles of Management Accountant and Group Accountant to being appointed as Financial Director four years ago. During this time Vospers have supported me in obtaining the CIMA accounting qualification and an MBA from Exeter University. I lead a team of forty four employees responsible for Vospers Accounting, HR and Sales Administration functions.

The motor industry is very fast paced as it continues to adapt and evolve which provides new challenges and opportunities. My functions support the operational departments of the business and work with them to ensure that the business operates efficiently. Individual roles in my functions include Management Accounts, Purchase Ledger, Credit Control, Cashiering, Payroll, HR, Vehicle fleet management and Sales Administration.

As a business we encourage and support employees to achieve relevant professional qualifications where it is appropriate to their role. My department contains two MBA qualifications, five qualified Accountants, a CIPD qualified HR Manager and a further three employees studying towards an accountancy qualification. The depth of experience within my team enables us to support Apprenticeships effectively and we currently have two Apprentices.

I am looking for my new employees to be positive energetic individuals with strong computer skills who work to high standards. A motor trade background is not a pre-requisite and my friendly team have a diverse range of experience. We provide a comprehensive induction plan to all new employees along with regular feedback. All we ask is for new employees to buy into the Vospers ethos and be part of our ongoing success.
